About Carl Maniglia

I began my photographic career, after obtaining a Degree in Journalism and Politics, working for local newspapers and later as a sports photographer on a national magazine before moving on to regional newspapers. For a time I worked as a columnist and freelance writer before returning to my first love, photography. These days I specialise in garden, landscape, commercial, and Re-enactment photography providing pictures for publication. My images have been used in, and by, magazines, BBC, calendars, books, etc.

I'm a committee member of the Garden Media Guild and current Chair of the Professional Garden Photographers' Association.

Photographing gardens is deceptive. To be able to enter a garden working with the available natural light and turn the ordinary or familiar into the extraordinary is an incredible privilege. A garden is a product of the vision of it's designer and owner (often they are the same). I aim to create images that allow you to embark on a journey of discovery seeing through the eyes of its designer and their vision.
